Day 2, I planned to bring Ika to Kuching Utara, and what ever along the way and explained to her how's Kuching Utara and Kuching Selatan different. (same scripts everytime guests come over, lol)

 We visited my school! (SMKA Tun Ahmad Zaidi) My school hasn't changed much in a way. I visited my hostel, Aspuri, and this is the public phone where we used to queue up to call our family. huhu, Nangis2 nak balik bermalam. And guess what, the phone is in coral! NICE! I am obviously much2 taller than the phone now. hhehe Can't  believe it's actually 9 years ago! Oh my..

On the way back, we had lunch at Kim Bay. 

She had Belacan Chicken with rice.

Char Siew Chicken Feet, I was telling b, I ate this, He was not very keen and he came up with this metaphore: "Nak tak makan kaki yang telah dibasuh dengan sabun bersih2 (he meant kaki orang) and tu kaki yang berkasut, imagine kaki ayam, entah apa dikais2 nya, poo ke," HE GOT A POINT, ok no more kaki ayam for me ever again "-_-

Rostika's Trip To Kuching: Day 1; Lagu Tema: Everything by Michael Buble

My friend has just returned to KK last night. I am still in recovering mode. Still very in the vacation mood.

I never knew that I would ring in 2011 with a  visit from my best friend! Yup, Ika came to visit Sarawak for 4 day trip. It was an impromptu trip because all was done after I got back from KK in December. Ika touched down at 9 on the 6th. First place we brought her is... Rojak Kuchey! She was persistent about that.

 Right after she touched down, we had breakfast at Rojak Kuchey

 After breakfast, we went home so Ika could freshen up, later after lunch, we went to Taman Sahabat

Candy Buffet and Engagement; Lagu Tema: Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble

On the 31st of Dec, I got a mandate from Purple Lady to become the MUA for her sister's engagement. I was so excited, because Purple Lady is here, haven't seen her since her wedding and that's been a while. And I am more than glad to lend a hand. I came over very early (altho the event was scheduled after Isyak, because I want to avoid traffic) and offer some help if they should need some.

For this event, PL had came up with something called Candy Buffet. No foreigner among the West Malaysians, but still very new in Sarawak. So, she considered this as a pilot test. And it turned out very2 successful. It is basically a buffet spread of candies, presented in the most beautiful manner.

 Strawberry Love Letter, Spinny Lollipop, Swirly Marshmellow, Polo o'Sugar, Toffee Truffles, Cloudy Ice Cream!Kudos to PL for such creative names!

The setup is Pretty to the max!

Now, comes my main duty. The Make Up Artist. Stepping back to my experience, I used to do make ups for my Uni friends for annual dinners and some functions here and there. And that too, had been a while. I was stunt when PL still has the slightest trust in me for this task.

I hold strong to Maya Karin's quote: Beauty comes from beautiful skin, so my task is a no-brainer. Senang nak make up orang yg dah sedia ada cantik and no skin problem. She demanded for a sweet yet outstanding up-do. I was relieved when my client is satisfied with the end product. "Good make up is when it is hardly there"

Congratulations to Eddie and Naffa, such a beautiful couple! :)

I get a lot of comments pertaining my braces, and I don't mean technically. Comments about my appearance and the braces itself. But nothing can beat what kids have to say about my braces. Their remarks are out of this world!

1. Kenapa gigi akak buruk? T____T
2. What's with the letter 'H' at your teeth? Kids really see beyond things!
3. Kenak ada manit2 kat gigi kitak? (Why do you have beads at your teeth) Perhaps she sees it as accessories?
4. Can I touch that? Of course you cant!
5. What's that foreign thing inside your mouth. It's called braces.
6. You like to eat sweets when you are small? I like to eat sweets too, means my teeth become like yours when I grow up? Yup, you should be very2 scared.
7. Kitak makey ubat gigi pedas ka gigi kitak jadi camya? (Do you use the minty toothpaste that your teeth become like that? This one, I cannot relate it at all!

My day started off not so good, it was when my cat accidentally purposely slept on my warm, crispy and freshly ironed working shirt. Pfft, I have to choose another outfit and repeat the ironing. Mom urged me to get ready early because she wanted to deposit some cash. 

I looked at my cell, it's 4th. My favourite number. And it's 4th of January, my FSIL's birthday. Happy Birthday akak, semoga semua impian menjadi kenyataan and may you continue walking hand in hand with luck! No one is as lucky as you, at the tender age of yours, you have everything women want, a happy family.

And today, happy engagement anniversary point five to my other half, Abu Ubaidah. Thanks a lot for still partaking in this journey with me, just to let you know, there's no a single day passes without I'm thanking Him for you in my life. And that's five times a day. And for the glitches, I think we are now at the point where we just can blow them off our shoulders. I love you.

Purple Lady is here, for her sister engagement! (review about that later). And of course, us the Powerpuff Girl set a date for a reunion that we thought impossible as one of us is married and very far away. So, we gave this opportunity no chance but to reunite! :) Our first destination is Delizze for a quick linner (lunch +dinner) and off we went to the overrated Spring.

I prefer M&Ms with no nuts. Today I stumbled into this! This is especially produced in the name of Breast Cancer Awareness. The greens, blues,yellows and reds are transformed into pinks and whites! I want! huhu, but then again, I don't think I have the guts to nom on it. Sayang ok!Too pretty too eat.
