I am still in Perak, least that I thought this would happen to me. At 3 am, the power went off, suddenly everything became so pitch black that I felt so confined and short of breath. I literally couldn't see anything! 30 minutes went by, and I thought of calling the reception, BUT the phone was not working! Can you imagine, in the middle of ladang kelapa sawit, no electricity, no coverage and no land line! So, I just forced myself to sleep and prayed that everything would come back to normal. Came morning, the power was still off. So, I had to do all my things lightless. We were supposed to start our presentation session at 8 but due to no elecricity, we have to postpone everything. But, our urusetia is one determined lady, she asked for an alternative venue from the resort to avoid hampering the whole course. FYI, it was not the resort's fault the power went off, in fact their generator couldn't put up too long of the powerless period, because the whole area (Sungkai) had been affected since the night before. Anyways, the resort was too kind to offer us a villa somewhere on top of the hill ada elektrik and all, maybe memang utk back up purpose. So we gladly moved to the villa to have our presentation session.
It's Zohor time, and that place did not provide musolla,so I requested a transport from the resort to bring me to the nearest surau if not my room. My turn to present tak lama lagi, and the transport didn't show up after 15 mins waiting, so I gave up waiting. That was when a young lady (the hotel personnel) with a motorbike passed by, I quickly called her and mintak tumpang. Being pregnant (read: heavy) I pun duduk ala2 zaman Sabariah Ibu Mertuaku atas motor. After 20 seconds of the ride, I suddenly felt a strong force from my skirt, I shouted "Dik, stop2!!, kain akak sangkut"
My skirt had been twirled inside the rim badly! Memang lekat and stucked, so they have to call up someone to bring scissors because that is the only way to let go my skirt. Idid not go furious, sebab xde salah sesiapa, and I just laughed the matter off. So, the young lady sent me back to my room, exchanged my kain and I could pray comfortably in my own room, it's just too bad I have to give up one of my new skirt just like that. Huhuhu....
