KK Trip Part I; Lagu Tema: I Like It by Enrique Iglesias

Just got back from my Kota Kinabalu vacation. Same old things to look forward to but the peculiar thing about this trip this time around are baby Arif of course and...... Ika's Armando. Yup, I finally get to see both of them. My fiance's 6 months old nephew has really grown huge up!

On the 1st day, I feel obliged to visit my alma matter. Ni mesti, I have the highest sense of belonging to UMS compared to the rest of my academic institution, maybe because not only I got certified an MHCM but I learnt a lot about life. Ok, don't make me start.

Later in the afternoon, I got msg from my FIL inviting me for a lunch to celebrate their anniversary. Hang Li Po restaurant it was. Thumbs up for all the food, they tasted so good that I did not capture any dish, plus, Arif is the main attraction. Main ngan Arif je..Just for the record, we had TomYam, ayam mango, butter prawn, salted egg crab, fried calamari, kailan (i think) and steam fish!

We resumed the day with a stroll at CP and went straight home after that. 

The next day, everyone was working, so I became the lady who lunches.Hehe. Ika asked me to run some errand for her, but before that, I visited B's place to hand over self-made Kek Batik from Kch and spend time with baby Arif :)

Then I went off to settle Ika's amanah, pastu loitering about KK.

 Later at night, we had dinner at none other than our beloved TLC!

But it was a bummer cos we were overcharged, RM38.60 for sayap ayam and tom yam 2 org makan. How can!?!

Ini ah moi sedang in love, 24 hours berSMS jer, tak lekang dr tangan, there are instances I actually bercerita sorang2 rupa-rupanya! 

Speaking of that, I finally had the chance to meet and spoke to Armando. He is a nice guy and he looks something like this:

Yeah.. I doa yang baik2 jer untuk kamu berdua, ada jodoh kali sebab muka iras2..hehe...

Luncheon; Lagu Tema: Buat Aku Tersenyum by SO7

We walked out for lunch with a feeling of epiphany. Suddenly we took a detour form our usual route, to Pullman Hotel, thanks to their gigantic poster; it says: RM18++ for lunch. Eighteen! Effective advertising, because it took us no time to decide. New chef to boot! Harus.

These are my friend's choice, you will get to choose one appetizer+one main dish+one vege menu.

The best would be my menu-- soft shell crab but I forgot to snap any pics. What an absent minded. Am just not that focus lately.

 Ms Jane, our big sis, Thats why I never go against the light, u know what I mean? hehe

Alhamdulillah, Mesej Sampai; Lagu Tema: Gadis Sarawak by Hasnol

Today is another field trip for us,different set of students. Since all of them are from Sabah, Sarawak Cultural Village is a perfect rendezvous for them. I have been negotiating with SCV people for a marked down entrance fee,finally, the least I could get is RM15 for students and RM25 for lecturers. Actually, there was a dispute between us and the ticketing person prior entering. I have spoken with one of their authority, a week ago, agreeing on RM20 fee for the accompanying lecturer, but it was a whole different thing when we arrived there. They didn't even bother to look at our face when we informed them about the earlier agreement. I didn't want to create a scene and spoil the students' excitement, so I just abided by. 

We went off at 1300hrs because my friend had a replacement class in the morning, which our initial plan supposed to take place. But, nevermind.

I am glad that everyone is happy. Just that, I resented that we were so rushing so that we have to end the trip before 4 (to avoid traffic), and we wouldn't want our driver to get into trouble because he had to fetch other students at 5pm. We didn't even watch the show. So sad..

We just realized we have not hung out together for quite a while, since she is gonna leave for KL this week, so we planned (o my gat, I plan!!) for a girls' day out. Movie, shopping and food, what more can make women happier? 

I just discovered a shop selling bohemian skirts. Haven! I have always loved skirt!

P/S: I appreciate that some of my acquaintances inspired by my things/dressing, but to look exactly like me, it is too much, too pronounced, when I believe, that you can do sooo2 much better.Alright? :)

A visit to SSPCA; Lagu Tema: Super Something by Yuna

So we went to the SSPCA this morning. We were greeted by Madam Dona as told. Our group arrived at 11 am, consisting of 20 students. I was so excited to see the cats and puppies.

Honestly, I was expecting (jujur ni jujur) something dirty, smelly, congested and stuffy, and I was wrong right there!! The place is super clean, no odor at all, with excellent ventilation. All the animals have happy faces and most of them are so well-fed that they are fatter than my cat. 

Salute to the workers/ volunteers for keeping the place sooo well taken care of.

 These unfortunate ladies have been made pregnant by unknown males, that explains why they are all here

 Before you can go in, u must dip your shoes in this disinfectant to avoid transmitting disease to the animals, not the other way round ok,!!! they really take care of the animals!

 Look at the one above me, he tried to greet me for ignoring him!! So cutee!! aiyak, die!

 This is the garden. The dogs will be released from the cage to play/de-stress in this garden. Each group will rotate turn to play for 5 hours. Best kan.

This is the cremation center. Cats and dogs which die naturally or put to sleep will be burnt here.

Fridge

One cremation process takes approx. 8 hours to fully turn the carcass into ashes!! So, it involves lots of gas which is costly. (RM350 for one time burning) Hence, mass cremation. 30 cats/10 dogs per burning. The carcass will be frozen here until the quota is full.

My babies. I hope they enjoy! :)

My penchant for animals is out of question, I really love animals, that justifies why I chose this place for our field trip. When I mean love, it doesn't stop at caress and kissing, love means to still take care of them in what ever forms, including cleaning up the poo poo! And I strongly think loving/ taking care of pets is the best hands on training for your real babies next time. :)
