Yeay, my Astro has finally activated after a draggy 48 hours of waiting, the first show I tuned in was Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Glued to the tube, they had me disgusting of myself. Baby Stuff

Yesterday, I did an OGTT test, (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) and that means I have to fast for half day before my blood was drawn prior and after fasting. Alhamdulillah, both test turned out excellent. Fasting even for half day during pregnant is seriously a tough task! haha, I don't want to repeat this test at any circumstances anymore! Luckily B is expert at withdrawing blood.

While waiting for the second test (that was after I drank a concentrated glucose drink. the gap is 2 hours) I went for window shopping at Suria. A lot of shops were still not operating. Me and B plan to go for a haul baby shopping starting next month, so far, we haven't bought anything yet (except for some rompers just because they are cute and cheap) neither that we have any knowledge about baby stuff! @_@ Last two days, we bumped into our family friend and he was excited telling us about their purchase of baby stuff and the details. His wife is 28 weeks pregnant and it is their 1st child too. That was the moment when I feltthat I must start eyeing and purchasing bit by bit from now on. Am 25 weeks and 7th month will pass by before I knew it!

Being first time parents and the fact that we just started our lives, budget is our concern. As much as I want to pamper the 1st newborn but it is for her own good too. So we decided to settle for simple and in-exorbitant brand and what is necessary only. I did the same thing for my wedding :) he

So mothers out there, what are the most critical thing to get a newborn? Feeding set? warmer? clothes? please drop your 2 cents. Should you have any recommendation about the best brand, anything, please share yah! I appreciate it! :) The clock is ticking, I must start now!!

Real Weekend

Nowadays, it's rare to meet weekends when B is not working, finally the waiting ends, for this weekend, B happened to be off and we gotta have a hubby and wifey time.

Some of my skirts, they shrink ( ya right, if u understand what I mean). So because I need to cover up my belly, technically, the shorter they become, so I thought of modifying it by adding lace at the hems.This morning, after B played tennis with his brother, we went to Pasar Filipin to get laces and my skirts modified.

Yesterday, Astro was supposed to install the dish at my unit but the management of my apartment did not permit because they were having their CNY holiday already, so things had to be postponed next week altogether. So means NO ASTRO for us yet! Pfft!! Since both of us were on leave, I thought of making laksa sarawak and invited my family in law to our crib.

Success at 1st attempt! Definitely more to come after this!

Finally I have a friend at my new place. She always walk me up to my unit at level 2, but she runs up the staircase although she's pregnant!! No way I can beat that! All I have to do to thank her company is to feed her Frieskies! hehe Gotcha!!

Of course she wins everytime! hehehe

Never that I expected my trip to my hometown would be horrible, nope the the place, neither the treatment but it was me succumbed to constant vomiting on day 2. Just imagine, I vomited for 5 times in one day! I turned flaccid towards the end of the day as I surrendered to all kind of food. I mistakenly (I think so) I was having late morning sickness (because I never had one since my pregnancy period) but B insisted it was not, he suspected this is because of food poisoning or the amount of DURIAN that I consumed. Yeah,at RM10 for 3 durians, who can resist of settling for one whole durian by yourself? Came next day, I went to gynae specialist for my routine scanning and I asked the gynae about my condition. She also denied the late morning sickness and also suggested it might be caused by food poisoning, I strongly the culprit was Pizza Ria that I had the night before because the peas tasted weird.

Up until now, I don't know what is the real cause yet, because the gynae insisted me to do urine C & S and B just performed it on me justnow including full blood count. Ok, enough of my condition.

I did my antenatal check up at Klinik Syafa' in Kuching, specificallyfor gender scan at the clinic and treatment was awesome. Actually she was my mom's acquaintance because she ever served in General Hospital one time ago. I recommend this clinic for ladies in Kuching, you will not regret it, 1st class treatment with 1 star price. It's located near DIGI centre in Satok, near Klinik Dr. Kon, next to Bank Rakyat.

I hope I recover soon, (fyi, I just threw up justnow) and it was torturing!! huhu...

Last time, I rarely buy cloth towards my PMS mood because of that bloated feelings, girls will understand. Everything you try on would be the ugliest thing you've worn. True? It's called feeling-fat-day.

Come my pregnancy, seriously I feel like a cow. And it's not feelings nor delusion, it's literally a weight-put-on , BUT I am so driven to buy new clothes. I never failed to purchase at least one when ever I go out with B although sometimes it had to be the biggest size. And that awkward moment when I am one to two size up, and thanks to housemanship, b is one size down. Just kill me already. Maybe am carrying a girl? That's what the famous saying says, when you prone to doll up during your pregnancy, you might be carrying a she. Ameen. ehhe. We don't know the gender yet, maybe we will do a check up in Kuching later. ~~where she/he was conceived :p~~ And I just did a make up purchase two days ago of mascara and eye shadow. Note: I rarely wear mascara and I only have 2 eyeshadows in 3 years period of time. What's about that? Hmm..

Terlanjur memblog, lemme just squeeze in an entry about my SIL birthday on the 4th last week. B treated the whole pack at Hang Li Po Restaurant and the cake was our idea, half choc cheese and half durian. hahah. Both the dishes and the cake did not disappoint us, happy birthday akak! And I deserved a facepalm for not inserting the SD card back to our SLR hence, the camera phone pics. B was totally mad at me that night. So did I really pissed off at myself.

Right now I am watching motivasi/kuliah pagi oleh Ustaz Hassan Din at TV3 of one interesting topic. The talk is still in progress so this is kinda live update.

Some of the gists are, many of us don't realize that stubborn children are created as early as it's still fetus in the womb. According to the ulama', children will emulate 100% of the mother's behavior while she is pregnant. Baran ibunya, baranlah anaknya. Maka, emosi ibu hendaklah sentiasa tenang dan gembira sepanjang tempoh kehamilan. Banyakkan membaca al-quran dan berzikir as well as banyakkan amalan2 baik ketika mengandung including your daily speech. People around should cooperate of making the environment conducive for the mommy's mental along her pregnancy because you wouldn't want your sweet pea to emulate the bad behavior from the mother. That is why, in the west, they really pamper the pregnant mothers so that their emotion is well taken care off, this includes giving them spa and VIP hotel treatment. And these also based on their valid research.

Setelah lahir, dimulakan dengan ta'lim,(mengajar) iaitu dengan memberikan makanan dari sumber yang halal. Setiap dari makan pakai anak hendaklah dari sumber yang halal toyyiba, bersih dan tidak shubahah, kerana ini juga akan membentuk perangai anak tersebut. Setiap makanan yang dimakan akan menjadi darah daging yang mengalir dalam badan anak itu.

Setelah itu, tarbiyyah, iaitu mendidik anak tersebut dimulakan dengan panggilan yang baik2. Nama yang baik jika tidak digunakan dengan betul akan menjadi sia2. Contohnya nama yang baik seperti Aida yang bermaksud tuah (ehem :p) janganla dipanggil adood atau ida, kerana panggilan itu merupakan suatu doa terutamanya dari ibu dan bapa.

Akhir sekali ialah ta'dib iaitu mengajar adab. This one learning from example, ibu dan bapa hendaklah practce what they preach.Memberi contoh yang baik terhadap anak especially ketika mereka dalam fasa observation cos like it or not, education starts at home.

Ingat, degil atau nakal anak itu semuanya bukan 100% salah anak itu sendiri, ia sebenarnya bermula seawal dalam kandungan lagi. Kita tidak mahu anak kita akan menyusahkan isteri, suami dan orang lain bila dia sudah dewasa nanti, maka sama-samalah kita membangunkan masyarakat yang cemerlang bukan sahaja dari segi pendidikan malah mulia dari segi adab. Insya allah...ameen...

Dear Wa Biena's sweet pea...

Dear sweet pea,

Read on my header that you are now 20weeks old. How's everything on the inside? The recent video showed the ingenuity side of you sweetie. I've been pestering your mom for that video where it shows you pulled off some sujud stunt, it freaked your mom a little bit but for Wa Biena that was a sign of intelligence, you may not realize it but you emulate your mom's good deed, she never fails to perform her solat, no matter how tired she is. Clever little one. Ameen.

Oh how time flies... Seems just like yesterday when your mom did her pregnancy test at Wa Biena's crib. The excitement is still fresh in my memory and pretty soon in May you'll meet me. But up till now Wa still doesn't know what are you, are you a boy or are you a girl sweet pea? Only time will tell and for now Wa will just call you sweet pea, as your parents fondly address you.

Sweet pea, your nenek reminds Wa Biena all the time not to be too excited as we are welcoming the first grandkid in our little family. But I'm pretty sure she is way more excited than I am, in fact both nenek and pak nek. Wa Biena on the other hand is always thinking of you, imagining the day I'd react when you arrive into the world, the very moment when Wa Biena gets to greet you, "Assalamualaikum ____________ ". I pray hard that I'd be able to witness your arrival sweetheart. As much as your mom had been there in my life, I want to be there on her special day of welcoming you. I can't wait.

Of late sweet pea, do you know what Wa Biena's been up to? Despite nenek's advice not to be overly excited, Wa Biena has been hopping a lot on parental blogs, googling away baby's stuff and I've been persuading your mom and dad to consider water birthing. Do you think you'll be comfortable with that sweet pea? Well that all depends on your mom's strength, but knowing your mom I know by any means she will face no problem getting you out insyaAllah, she's one strong woman!

Here's something I want to share with you sweet pea. Your mom is at times stubborn but this is the one trait that encapsulates her strong attributes. Her determination to be close with your dad was driven by her love for you sweet pea hence the endurance when she was alone in KL. Even now sweet pea, your mom is driving alone in a tiny vehicle to work, tolerating a 45-minute drive. And your dad is going through hardship during his houseman term, so please understand when you seldom hear his voice . They both are taking all these step by step just like other newly parents. And I'm happy that you've been nice to your mom during her first trimester. I know you'll be a good kid.

And I'm pretty sure that of recent you noticed mom's heart has been palpitating more than usual? This is because she went up and down moving stuff to your new crib. And here's a little something you can remember your dad by; he put up the curtains and put on the bedsheet for your mom while she was at work. Now isn't that sweet? You are indeed one lucky kid.

Flash Update

It's been three days we moved into our new crib. We had been great team. B is really an awesome team mate, he helps even before I mention anything. Now it looks more like a home. I love the doing the chores when all the stuffs are almost complete. It's just that the kitchen is too small to accommodate my penchant for cooking.

Mak and Abah helped us to transport our belongings.

After that, B brought us to Gayang Seafood (kedak topspot kita d kuching lah)

Today I went for my monthly antenatal check up and found out that my Hb count is low. Another unpleasant finding is of course the shameful weightgain! Hahaha, but I don't want to be a jerk mom who constantly complain about weight, kesian kat baby dengar. Seems like I have to increase on my iron intake. Yang I know is spinach, liver, cockles.. Any other food? And now I begin suffering painful joints towards the end of the day, sakit sangat2 I can't even move. B ckp kurang kalsium. Another 4 months to go, Ya Allah please make this a smooth journey for me and baby. Ameen..

After check up, we went to this place called Pancake House di Karamunsing, best and sedap, and ada Halal.

Pindah!

So you know, me and B are in the progress of moving into our crib maybe this weekend. For the whole week we've been cleaning the house and filling it with necessary stuff. My mother had contributed most of the things when she sent my Kelisa a month ago. I don't have to worry about my cooking utensils cos Mak dah bagi semua lengkap :) Since we are only RENTING, so we don't want to splurge for the households, semuanya Daiso mari jer, but I can't deny I am excited having and managing my own place to call home, we are considered lucky because the place is still new, so still bersih.

B had utilised his off day to clean the place including pasang langsir, bedsheet, fix all the faucet, aircond, TV, fan, everything. And my task is to shop! And this is one of the results:

Paeds Night

Last night, I tagged along with B to his annual department dinner. He is now attached with the Paediatric at Hospital Likas. The dinner was held at Grand Ballroom One Borneo. That night, three major functions took place including appearance by Datuk Siti Nurhaliza! And a wedding next to our venue. The last time I had to attend function here was during Kris Dayanti's performance two years ago.

Anyways, this dinner is not ordinary because B gotta perform! The performance had been bugging him for the whole week because he was asked to not to voluntarily perform. And the worse thing was, the head of department had specifically handpicked him to render a martial arts performance.

B chose Copeira as he is familiar and been involved with this self defense since his early years in University and he's done quite a number of shows when he was abroad. But then again, it's been a while since his study years that he abandoned Copeira.

The theme for the night was Dresses To Kill~ And I love everything about the dinner. Each of the details was well carried out and the committee had done an awesome job that it reflected on the success of the dinner. Food were generally good. (Again chinese style) I love the lotus soup the most, sedap!

B and his friends (three of them) were the 2nd to perform. I was excited and he was nervous, the last time I watched B performed was 8 years ago during matriculation, when I had a crush on him. haha He sang Nasyid during that time mind you! :P

And I won lucky draw that night, I think I have lucky draw charm, tak pernah tak dapat! hehe Lucky dalam draw je lah, benda lain tak dpt.

The night got colder and I couldn't stand, we made a move at 11pm and dropped by at our new apartment nearby, Insya allah next weekend we'll move in, :)

Our Kulim/Penang Trip

Alright, its time for pending entry of our trip to Penang/Kulim last 2 weeks. B reached KL at 1230 pm and our flight to KL is at 330pm, but it delayed. We reached Penang at 5pm, to be received by Purple Lady and family! Yup, Little Nasuha is around! Thanks to the massive gridlock at Penang Bridge, we only reached Kulim, rumah pengantin at 630pm when everyone is dismantling everything. Oh lupa pulak, our purpose to Penang was to attend B's cousin's wedding. But the good thing was we had the pair all by ourselves, nak bergambar banyak mana pun takpe, sebab semua orang dah balik. He.

It occurs that Mak Long's place is super near to Aifa's crib, bonus for us. :) So, after Maghrib, Aifa invited us to her place. B was actually down with fever while he was still in KK so, he couldn't really cope up with the itinerary. The next day, B's cousin brought us to this awesome place selling breakfast. Their repertoire was 60 cents packed Nasi Lemak. Yummeh! 60 sen!! But I was too bloated to take two :P..

Later, we zoomed to B's grandpa's place at Batu Kurau, that was 1 hour drive from Kulim. B's other cousin and brother tagged along too but they escaped in the middle of the journey as they bought ticket to Ipoh on the way.

We could see the greenest paddy field all the way and B got to taste the freshly picked coconut juice. We then went to B's cousin's friend's wedding on the way back. sempat....

We took a rest at Mak Long's place while waiting for Aifa and husband to pick us up because we planned to check in at Penang the night we left for KL. Mak Long served us with...................................... not one but TWO BIG containers with durian from their own orchard. And seriously, true story, I finished one full container and of course they tasted out of this world. Pity b, hanya blh makan sikit.

Fast forward, Aifa picked us up, stopped for Solat for a while and she treated us for late lunch at one restaurant called Mutiara restaurant with unique concept. Customers will experience eating in huts and the speciality is their Briyani Kambing. For sure, one of the best briyani I have ever eaten.

We drove all the way to Penang as it was already nearly 6pm. Aifa dropped us at the hotel while they went for Asar at surau USM. We chose Eastin because it is near to Queensbay and airport (our flight is at 7am the next day).

After solat and some refreshment, apparently Aifa had arranged a reunion for us with our junior who happened to stay in Penang. This junior of ours also just delivered a beautiful daughter and both of them were enjoying their baby talks while I just watched and menyampuk and rubbed my tummy occasionally. Hahah cant wait, baby girls are just beyond adorable!

Panjang nya cerita ni....hehe after that, I wanted to buy some pickles to bring back and we went to chow rasta. B was not feeling feeling very well, his temperature increased and we had no choice but to go back to the hotel after a short stroll at Queensbay Mall.

Honestly I rasa tak puas main dengan baby Nasuha and explore Penang. My last trip to Penang was in 2006 if I'm not mistaken, with Unimas. I will return to this place for sure, sebab mee udang entah ke mana, cendol entah ke mana, Char Kuey Teow pun entah ke mana! Bukan main lagi plan...

After three days dose of antibiotics, my condition is no better, sore throat is still there, slightly less painful. Sometimes, my temperature would increase a tad. All GPs advise to minimize medication intake during pregnancy but I feel horrible! How la? I have tried all the homebound remedies as well, now maybe it's a curse, I am officially a cold-drink-phobic. Everytime I pass by hawkers selling rambutan and durian on my way home, I just feel helpless.. huhu. So yesterday, B prescribed me cough syrup and what nots at least to buoy my condition, if not to make them recover. Seriously for those who had watched Breaking Dawn, I looked like the super-ill Bella Swan, maybe I need to drink blood huhu, Ya Allah, please make this nasty sore throat go go go!Pity B who has to bear with my coughing every night. :( Please2, but those of you out there who has miracle, workable remedies, please share with me!

I strongly believe that healthy being comes from a happy heart, so I decided to make myself euphoric today! Three roses to call my own, finally! :) Now they are not only on my head (see:Blog Header teeheee) but on my dressing table too!

It's understood to all that I buy this because of the oh-so-me pink rose flacon but the bonus is, it smells really good! Another lucky factor, they are now having the Christmas promotion and I really enjoy good deals of these beauties. And I think I want to go for the Marc Jacobs Daisy also, it smells nicer! ~~but sayang not pinkier.~~

I am not earning a fortune nor that I am born in a wealthy family. With baby coming on the way and my wedding just a tad time ago, budget is really my concern now. I'd love if you guys can share how your budget is planned.

My ustazah ever said, once you are married, a man should be the main PROVIDER for basic necessities, at least shelter, food, clothes and safety, (most bottom of Maslow's Hierarchy of needs) even so the wife earns more. But a solehah wife (I presume all women out there wish to be one) will try to ease the burden and assist any loopholes under the base of being taat.

I honestly admit I failed miserably in saving with the '20% of your earnings' theory, every month, there'd be slips here and there. But that was then, when I was single, I could care-freely spend because the only mouth to feed is mine. Now, things are different altogether, I am detached from my parents, I have bills to pay, and the ultimatum, another live to feed. I can't continue with the crazy habits of 'impulsive purchase' or buy 'every color for one thing' anymore. Priority is definitely shifting now, so SAVING is a serious business!

The way I did it before, for every month, I will make sure I put aside 100 for every week of the month for AOB. With that, I can ensure am not a waterless fish by the end of the month. Then I will start spending for the critical- which is to settle all the debts. But the funnier the world has become now, no matter how much you earn, it's just not enough. True? Or is it just me. Honestly, since it is not long after the wedding, I really have to start from scratch in savings for my future, which is still in the tummy.

P/S: Please regard this as rantings from unstable hormone secretion. :)

The least thing you want to happen to you during your pregnancy is to fall ill because your worst fear factor will come along-to take medication, lets be honest, it's a horror for any pregnant mothers out there to take any form of pills, tablets, capsules other than folic acid, true? even it's prescribed by the best GP. Suddenly you don't trust any GPs out there.

Well, I caught fever the last 3 days, yes like other expecting mother, I try my best to avoid medication, there goes my endless home-bound remedies, but, they just didn't work!! On Tuesday, I woke up to a feverish state that I took EL. Boredom had made me recover (aha!) but it was short-lived. On Wednesday, after work, I felt congested at my chest that I had to stop by Ika's office to take 5. Come night, the real deal kicked in, I am +ve fever with nasty sore throat. B ~~forced~~ gave me panadol and patted soaked towel to control my temperature and not to forget made me sniff minyak kapak. I felt all fine in the morning and confident that I was fit to work.

The full blast aircond at my office sure didn't co-operate with my condition. My sore throat worsen. I self-examined my throat and consult B. But B insisted to look by himself. I googled and this is how exactly my throat looked like.....

30 minutes with full blast aircond, and the sound of a fellow cutting grass (don't u just HATE the sound of orang potong rumput, it brings me back to the days bunyi tu mesti ada time pagi weekend masa kecik2 arghh!!) just below my office made me see circles. I just couldn't take it anymore so I went to the nearby clinic.

He is the one whom I go for my pregnancy check ups, so he is in the knowledge of I am pregnant. He said all the medicine he prescribed is edible and safe for pregnancy, ~~still I go and check at safefetus.com. wahaha!~~ The doctor even ~~scared me~~ shared how a pregnant lady who was in her 40th week lost her baby when she carried on with her high temperature just because she refused to take medicine. All she knew, her baby didn't move anymore and they found he died because of the high temperature. He granted me a 1 day sick leave, antibiotics, paracetamol and nice,pink,strawberry flavoured lozenges. :)

So far, I feel better now, I hope I can fully recover soon. With this sick body, I am slacking with my daily chores :( Please pray for me ya !

Along my pregnancy, I only vomited like twice, alhamdulillaah........I couldn't totally relate what is 'morning sickness' because I hardly experience one. But, come 4th month, the nausea feeling kicked in. In the morning I feel all fine but towards the evening, heartburn takes place and I begin to feel nauseated. And you can see me walking like am in my 9th month already. Allah is great, He gave all these when I am close to my husband, so since he is the one who's responsible of making me this way, :P he has no other choice but to take care of me, but I try my best not to take advantage because B's job needs him more.

So, I'd like to ask preggers/moms out there, what is the best remedy for heartburn and nausea?I find a decrease in my appetite too.

Last Friday, we went out to celebrate Mak & Abah's anniversary. Kakak and Arif joined too.

Am currently surveying ticket to Kuching. Day after day, the ticket become no cheaper. :( I hope my rezeki to go back to my hometown this month ada... Ameen..

I just came back from doing a sonogram, but the doctor can't determine the gender just yet, because sweet pea is too shy to show more of his/her crotch. But the doctor said 40% it's a baby girl!Yehoo!.. But as much as I want a babygirl, I don't mind if it's a hero.Asalkan sempurna dan sihat, ameen.... Baby is doing well, she's grown way bigger than our previous scan. :)

Baru la terasa nak concentrate at my pregnancy after finally I can get to stay with my husband. Terasa burden to relieved sangat2.. Syukur...After quite a dramatic episode last Tuesday, finally I had the chance tu BARU BUKAK BUKU KAT KLINIK IBU & ANAK... hehe, ya, before this I was uncertained of my location, so I couldn't care less about this, and I only do my check up at private clinic. After being nagged by Mom, baru ada masa jugak and B pun MC off, so there we went. All this while, all my previous check ups were about the baby, sendiri tak pernah check pun. Yesterday I managed to do a thorough check up, blood, urine and WEIGHT! It's Official now, besides Air Asia scale, now am phobia to all scales! At 4 months of pregnancy, I have successfully gained 6 kgs! I just couldn't stop nibbling..rasa lapar tu sangat unexplainable.. huhu B dah berkali2 warning to eat right, no snacking, so to nurture that, I just look at Bunga Citra Lestari's post-baby pics..uhuk2...So far, my blood, urine semua normal, except the Hb count more to the low side..but still within the range.

I can totally relate....hehe, baru tambah extra mashed potato dan coleslaw, sy dah mendapat jelingan maut dari B. hahaha

Yello!! Am blogging form my new workplace finally! Prior to that, a lot of activities filled up my our itinerary just for that weekend. Hubby came over to KL and we flew to Penang for a relative's wedding. I had a chance to meet Nasuha!! Purple Lady's little sweet pea, now that she's 2 months old, she looks oh so lovely, not to mention her mother! Not only she had successfully secured her pre-pregnancy figure!But prettier! Jeles. Worry not, I will have an entry especially for our trip to Penang aight?

We left for KK on Monday (the same day we flew from Penang to KL) and you can imagine how exhausted that could be. It took toll on B, when he succumbed to his prolonged fever. He turned into a human torch and only cools down when he takes pills. The fever shows no sign of subsiding and he has no choice but to go to the clinic. An altogether different story happened. After he was prescribed with antibiotics and lozenges, we were supposed to go for my monthly antenatal check up, the queue was too long, so I asked him to wait in the car. Suddenly, he asked me to withdraw, as he couldn't take it anymore. That was when I saw him turning literally blue, complained of short of breath and glaring sight. He ordered me to stop by at Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department at Queen E hospital (I was the one who drove all the way, yes, he was that ill). I dropped him there, and looked for parking. Luckily, my dad's staff sticker is still at my car (ya my Eliza has also reached KK) so I could park at the staff parking. When I went to the Emergency, he was on the bed, already being poked, dripped and fixed with a nebulizer, with several nurses and doctors nearby. Being brought up by parents working in medical field, we siblings, have high tolerance to hospital cases, so I managed to calm down, because I know he himself knew what he's facing now.

After 4 hours under observation and his condition was stabilized, B was good ~~as new~~ to go. Then, I asked him, what happened, he said while waiting for me at the clinic, he took the antibiotic he just got and right after that, allergic reaction occurred. That explained the bluish part. That's why he quickly asked me to drop by A&E. Fortunately nothing is serious. B was happy because he's granted 2 days MC. hahaha...

1. Nasib baik bawak Kelisa kalau tak, lain cerita because sya tak pandai bawak manual.

2. Nasib baik he managed to call me, before dia pengsan ke apa ke to transport him to A&E.

3. Moral of the story, take not ubat2an/apa2 yang uols ada allergy to. Sebab effect allergy can cause death!

For the time, both of are really busy with work and house hunting, as much as I don't want to leave my in law house, I loath that my current workplace is literally one hour drive from Putatan sans traffic jam!Plus, B now is working at Likas hospital.

So, nak buat iklan berbayar kejap, should any of you know any apartment, terrace house nearby Likas, Sulaman, One Borneo area, please inform me asap aight? Because we have two potential houses now tapi both tingkat 3 takde lift, pengsanla saya nanti... huhu...

I have been through a lot of phases in my life, and I dare to say the greatest would be my Masters years. Great people, great place! If I were given chance, I'd love to relive that moment over and over again. I am married to a Sabahan, that was close....

Finally my transfer to Kota Kinabalu is approved! I get to reside in Kota Kinabalu. Alhamdulillah...

Alhamdulillah to the Almighty, for he has answered my very prayer and I accept them humbly with gratefulness, I couldn't asked for more. I know things like this don't happen everyday. Seriously I didn't expect it to be as soon as this but who am I to question the rezeki? I believe it's my sweet pea's.

But nothing comes easy right. Nothing beautiful is created without struggle. I really WORKED HARD pertaining this matter. Honestly I never strived so hard for anyhting ever in my life than this one. For those who know me well, will expect me to go with the flow and complacent for whatever things that given to me, the most is I will try to adapt, BUT NOT THIS ONE. The moment I was placed in Putrajaya, that was the moment I began my fight. From simple emails, to letters to phone calls, I did it all. You want mobility? Ok, I remember, I was in the peak of my nausea & fragile state of pregnancy, I WALKED to JPA, I remember I had to pause for oxygen at the lobby before I proceed to the floor, only to be told that my emails are inappropriate for transfer application. I burst into tears when the officer said I might have to wait for at least one year (or more) for relocation.... But at the same time (while offering my tissues) he promised me that he tried his best to speed things up for me.

I didn't stop there, I listened to LOTS of rumors and facts about relocation, of which I myself couldn't verify; some said pregnancy is the strongest reason, you'll definitely get it, others said, you are still very new, you'll only be entertained after 3 years, post confirmation and the rest said are you kidding? Who are you to be entertained, there are more still in the waiting list and they have applied for years...................

I become a cyborg, I didn't buy any of those, I resumed to fight for my relocation. This is the chronology:-

I wrote a letter to my department to be released and it got approved.
I keep shooting emails to JPA for updates and status.
Remember the guy who offered me tissue? He got transferred to SPRM, there goes his promisesss...
I spent one whole day to identify any vacancies for my scheme in all ministries and their agencies and departments in Kota Kinabalu.
I sent emails to all departments and agencies in Kota Kinabalu, and I got some replies.
I got one reply from one guy in INTAN Sabah, he called me straightaway after several emails. Apparently, he had applied for transfer to Kuching for the last 4 years but to no avail because he has no one to replace his position. In INTAN, he does training and development for government officers, God's will, they are looking for someone who has background in teaching and Human Resources for the replacement. I got both. It must be my rezeki that I found this guy because anything right after that, he got it done for me.
All I know is , I received my letter on the 11.11.11 of my posting order. And yes I owe him so very much.
In the midst of this excitement, deep inside, there's still a part of me in my current place. KSM is a superb place so far, everyone is so warm and despite the stacked workloads, it's the most peaceful and positive working place I have ever experienced.

Finally I can lay all my worry to rest, I am ready to go through my pregnancy at the certainty,at the same time a working wife. After 6 years of LDR, I couldn't afford another LDM (long distance marriage) I hope this is the beginning of all good things in my life. Hats off to those who wait for years!

P/S: Like in my previous post, I am supposed to report duty in KK on the 21st of November but due to keperluan tugas dan kepentingan perkhidmatan, I was given an extension until 29th Nov, so, see you KK!

But of course, the cherry on top gotta be ze reunion with my husband! :)

Mom was here to visit us for Raya Haji Holiday.It was great despite the limited time. It's been a while since us, all girls, spent quality time together. And, since I first knew I am pregnant, I haven't met my mom yet. As usual, an obligatory visit to the famous TAR and Pasar (which up until now I think I was being broad-daylight mugged by the hawkers. T_T lesson learnt, I could never resist tudungs, tudungs and tudungs. Then, we went to Haji Shahrin's Low seafood. YUMMEH, It's a chinese muslim restaurant and they claim it is Siti Nurhaliza's favourite restaurant. Dekat rumah Siti kat Bukit Antarabangsa. Untung2 dptlah jumpa siti sana.hehe

On the Aidiladha itself, we went to visit my sister's BIL place in Nilai. Ada makan2 sikit.. We brought acar ayam and puding jagung. Mak had a good reunion with her besan after so many years not meeting each other. Later, we sent Elin to her place in Genting Klang and we went browsing for food. Mak being mak, told us about this place she watched on JJCM and insisted us to bring her there. ok now,it's time for piccas!!

It was 530 pm while I was waiting for BIL to fetch me from work yesterday, hubby called and said he was also on his way back home. Then, I resumed my routine, scrolling down the FB updates, then I saw an update from a fellow stating there was a collision between a train and a tanker. The train derailed to avoid the tanker which blatantly it couldn't make it in time. There were 200 passengers on board at the time of occurrence. The mishap rather left me with goosebumps because I have ever been on that train, aigo! Minutes later, got another call from B, he confirmed the news, according to him, there were a massive gridlock following the incident, then, tutt.... tutt.... I lost him. The thought of him passing the location really drained out my worry juice. Luckily, after 3 hours, I managed to get back to him and yup, it was his cell running out of power.

Exactly one week before my wedding,as I completed serving my resignation notice period, my laptop gave up on me, So sweet of him to let go right when the time came. Laptop-less, I just utilised our PC at home and since I don't have any work to do, the absence is irrelevant to me. But when I moved in to B's place, I began to feel the pressure, using something that's not mine. When I started working, I had my sis's Macbook on loan, but a non-tech savvy I am, I had a hard time.

I had been eyeing for this beauty a month ago when I felt I really need a lappy of my own, but jobless and penniless after the wedding, I have to keep it to myself and be patient.

My mood fluctuates between intense excitement and severe depression everytime. I just got back from KK, and I can't imagine, with expanding belly and hormon craze how am I to survive the frequent flyings? I am no younger anymore. Like yesterday, my flight was delayed to 11pm and i only reach KL at 130am and home at 3am! I am really wishing and hoping that government of Malaysia will have mercy on me on this matter. #NajibRazak.

During my stay in KK, I got the chance to meet my sweet pea-through sonogram. :) I am three months pregnant already and going ahead to my 2nd trimester. My sweet pea has become more prominent and I begin to feel more connected and I love him/her each day. Although the excitement is not as much and you are not in the limelight, but dear baby, you will always have mommy, together in my body we take care of each other. My heart moved when I saw you twirl and turn, kicking and boxing like nobody's business, it's like a strength for mommy to keep moving on. You seemed to be so happy so I must be happy too :)

Mommy just received a happy news but it has yet to be confirmed, I hope it's your rezeki baby. I love you so much and worry not, your presence in this world will be the most grandeur at least in my eyes. xxxoo~

Am currently in KK *bow* for my Deepavali Holiday.. Today is my first day to experience staying at home while hubby is working. FYI, he works from 6 am-1130pm! Walaupun terasa agak lost, malas melayan blues kerana ia akan membunuh diri saya sendiri, so I occupy myself with the possible house chores. After preparing him breakfast, I continued snoozing only to wake up at 830 am wahaha. I began my day with doing the laundry and ironing hubby's shirt, thank god I love ironing. Come noon, I prepared lunch (I only need to prepare the rice cuz Mak had already cooked in the morning while am still in my dreamland...teeeheeee) Suddenly, nope, I have been craving of Bread Pudding since last 2 weeks, so I made one today. The smell of the vanilla really kills!Yums. Nowadays, kalau x dpt makan benda yang diingini, hati rasa merajuk. My chores now stops at collecting the dry laundry and now folding them while watching the television. There's another 9 hours before B return from work. From now onwards, to the housewives, and working mothers..hats off to you guys!!

Used to be 25 inch in the waist dept, now I hardly fit into my bottoms :(
Workloads have begun to stack up :(
Honestly, I am not into office, clerical work, I miss teaching, because now I am taking orders a lot, like A LOT! Now I am doing what I used to do in SEDC.
Funny thing, my degree is in Human Resources, so is my masters, now am serving at Human Resources Department at Ministry of Human Resources. Memang Human Resourcer lah saya ni sampai bila2..
Am doing very fine with minimum morning sickness, actually it's more to evening sickness for me
My job has landed me experience to be a monitoring officer at the Parliament. It was super ~~cool~~ cold inside. If you should catch Dato' S Subramaniam, haa that's my boss.
People here think that Bintulu is very near to KK. They know that I am dying to go back to KK, so for every Bintulu inspectorate, they will send me there so that I can go back to KK in between. Whatt thee?
Last but not least am counting seconds to go back to Kota Kinabalu for my Deepavali holiday. This is my first ever experience of Deepavali public holiday as we never had it in Sabah & Sarawak..

Who's coming to town y'all/uols?

Like I said before, since I started working here, I have never appreciated my weekend like I ever before. Weekends are meant for lazing around, cooking and doing laundry because, honestly I admit, I don't have time for those during the weekdays, I left home as early as 645am and reach home the earliest at 8pm.

But my weekend this time was slightly different, my PIL and BIL were here. My FIL had to attend meeting and the rest tagged along. I was so happy, at least there's element of ♥B♥ around. Hehe, I was so optmistic and perasan that ♥Hubby♥ would surprise me that I ~~pathetically~~ suspected he was actually with them too. Angan2! Duh. hahaa..Ya I am that deprived! :/

On Saturday, we (my sis & My BIL) brought them to NZ curry house, just right when the mamak were packed with MU and Liverpool supporters, and you can imagine how we were caught in the middle of the on going mindless frenzy.

The next day, we invited my FIL to our place and Sis decided to prepare Laksa Sarawak. I can tell you it's her repertoire. So right now, I know, I just have to hunt only for Mee Kolok if I should crave for sarawak dish next time. It's so good to have guests around and most probably Your Majesty Queen Mother is coming to town next week!!Can't wait for all this happiness, and again I would like to tell the whole world, I am going back to KK next, NO IT'S THIS WEEK!Yeehaw!

Remember my quest for Nachos? Well, after a mean tag by my sister, I finally got the chance to dunk into the tagged @Ben's~ Havenly I must say, crispy nachos coated with melting cheese, Yummeh to the max! Just recently, during Hubby's trip to KL prior his induction in JB, we decided to have an advanced birthday celebration of moi and @Chilli's. Again, we tried the BOTTOMLESS nachos, and they were like A LOT for only RM12, Jakun.hahhaa..

After that, we bumped in Dato' K and Siti @Delicious. My, she is so pretty, up until now I resented for not taking picture with her. Why? because just not long before that , I followed my BIL to his friend's open house. There was Wardina, queueing for food, smitten, I politely asked her for a photo together but she snubbed me! When I returned to my table, a guests smiled at me, and she said "so expected of her". Itsokay maybe she has her own reason. So itwas a traumatizing experience for me for being rejected, hence I didn't dare to do the same thing with Siti.

I met Ekin too (and her twin), she looks like a doll!

Big Bad Wolf

Since we were small, reading is our family's nurture. It's our pride to flaunt our Enid Blyton or Nancy Drew series. The Big Bad Wolf just invaded the city (MAEPS Serdang). Go grab your luggage and drag them to the book fair. Trust me am not kidding, you'll be needing luggage. I can assure you you'll get the best bargain that you'll resent your life if you don't show up. We went last night and it was heavenly for bookworms. Why wait, it ends on the 16/10, come or you'll bite your nail!

Do you know Malaysians (yes that's us) read one PAGE per year in average? Time to prove that's so wrong or at least change it!

I know this is too embarrassing to be revealed but I'll do it somehow. he. This morning, I was called by my immediate boss to her room for a pep talk, she opened up to me and she said she had somehow observed me and said that I looked sad and unfocus. I unhesitantly nod to every word she uttered. I admitted to her I am not able to focus 100% towards my work for the fact that my heart is not here. She said she could feel me as she is a mother and a wife and during her early years in the service she was also pregnant but she was not departed from her husband, so my case is rather worse.

My boss is a very empathic and nice lady, so she did advised me not to feel too stress as it can affect my baby as I am still in the early stage of my pregnancy. She even said only come to her for work if I am ready and calm enough. It seems light to others but it's worth the end of the world for me. My sister, my friends and even my superiors are super duper nice and they have treated me wonderfully. It's just me who just can't digest the reality just yet. I really miss my husband, I miss his company, now that he just commenced his work, I felt very departed.

I did a little reflection on what are the factors of my endless grieve, and it appears to me that I want to be near to my husband, he is where my home is, I need not to relocate but as long as he is by my side, it'd be heavenly. No matter how people tell me that they are so in my shoes, I APPRECIATE it, but it's always harder on the bearer. I hope this turmoil will cease soon so I can carry my child happily and be a fair mother to him/her.

Perhaps this can cheer me up for the time being? :P

I culpably admit that my lifestyle is a coin sided of what I am having now and prior to my wedding. Being a normal bridezilla, I religiously committed to numerous regimes from skin to working out, spiritual to physical. Imagine the stress of fitting and realizing a 26 years of hope and dreams into a 4-6 hours time frame? You tell me.

Months before my wedding, I re-registered myself to the gym (I stopped before because of work) and I NEVER failed to do the following, 30 minutes of treadmill before going to work and back to back of Bodycombat and Bodypump after work. How harsh are those? Figure them out. At that time, I was one energy ball, I could do all these without any post effect e.g: injury or over-exhausted. Even my weekend was occupied with those. Come on, who doesn't want to look good for her wedding right? But now, you make me walk for 10 steps am gasping for air already. I am 7 kgs lighter compared to my engagement.

I only ate breakfast and lunch and I normally skipped dinner but I made sure I drank protein shake for any meals that I missed. My objective is to look healthy, not a walking skeleton.

I don't know about this, but I am a loose believer of traditional practice, but when Mom insisted I go for a spa package for a bride -to-be, I followed and I am glad that I listened to her. All they included in the Ratu Sehari Package (they called it) seemed to be effective, I felt fresh and light and I think these will reflect on your face during your big day. One more thing, I resigned from my job a month before my wedding, I utilized all the time to pamper myself. I didn't wear any make up for at least a month to rest my skin.

So right now, my life is pretty much opposite, I can't do all the workouts and I am forbidden to skip any meals. It's a conflict I know, because my wedding had passed for only a while, but I hope I still can endure as nothing makes me happy than a clean bowel, light feelings, and a clear skin. Seriously.

And foremost, I was very happy during my wedding day and I love the man I am married to so much.

Latest of me, u can definitely see my hamster cheeks by now. :)

No More an Allusion

Something worth knowing, I came to know about my pregnancy during the wee hour, the morning I went for my Kursus Asas PTD in Akademi Laut Melaka (ALAM). Despite all the signs, I dismissed them until that day. I was happy + nervous when I saw +ve for my UPT. The only thing I resented- Hubby was not with me for the priceless moment, Why didn't I have the test earlier!?! Fortunately I had the urge, if not, I would be at risk with all the extreme activities in ALAM. To name a few, we have riadhah twice a day, heavy duty riadhah with the jumpings, pumping, sit ups and running, 1000000 times of them. The one I scared the most was called PT10. PT10 is 200x (at least) or more of starjumps married with frog jumps. Can you imagine that? Then we had diving and plank jump from the height of 8 metres. Deep in my heart, those activities did tempt me but I was helpless. There's some~~thing~~ one I care more about now.

Although exempted from all the sports activity, the schedule was really hectic, we slept at the earliest, 2am every day, I pitied myself that I had to go through those alone, in a foreign land with total strangers..sob3..

After completing the course, I quickly made a comfirmation check in Klinik Putrajaya and that was the peak when I checked with the reality. I was finally convinced that I am a pregger. And that was that awkward moment when Hubby's text read: I love you both so much. Err...

Now, I am serving in Putrajaya bound for my transfer application which cost me my tears. For the time being, I just think positive, bear with the demanding environment although only God knows it's really3x bitter to swallow. Allah knows the best!

This year's birthday gotta be the worst and the best I would say. First birthday as a wifey, yet hubby is not here with me, he's going through his induction. If you are feeling down, just count your blessings, people say: Hence, I am thankful, at 26, I am a Muslim (perfect Mukmin I hope) and practicing it, I am happily married to a wonderful, wonderful man, my family is still around, I have fantabulous friends who's willing to drop anything for me, I got a job, am so far healthy and foremost, for a soft announcement, I am having bun in the oven :)

Ya Allah, I can't any be thankful for what you have granted. Happy birthday to me!

New Moon

Post wedding, new things come to me like a falling stacks of dominos. One after another, leaving me no space and time to be prepared. Exactly a week after my wedding, I got an offer letter, for a PTD post. Logically, I would jump around because it was my dream job since I completed my bachelor. But, my acceptance was the other way round. I have a lot of things to consider, what if I have to serve away from my husband, what if, what if? But I follow suit, my husband, my family and PIL had been very2 supportive. I accepted the offer and I just finished a 5 days course in Melaka recently. That explains the hiatus. I am bound for my report duty tomorrow!! and honestly I am never mentally prepared.

Forget about that, these are some of the moments I managed to capture thorughout our course in Akademi Laut Malaysia, Melaka. As a PTD, we need to pass through four courses prior our confirmation and this is the first one, another 3 to go! hurm..

A friend came over to KK and we brought him to one of the attractions here, the desa cattle. It is a dairy farm where you can witness from milking to packaging process.

The price for carton milk here is almost 50% marked down

My best friend , Aifa or Purple Lady as familiar to some of you just delivered a gorgeous baby girl. Both Mother and Baby are doing fine. I am soo soo soo happy for her. All this while, the babies popped around me were boys, this the first flower we have. Congratulations to Aifa and hubby! Can't wait for her debut!

Trip to Beaufort Part Two

It was just for the sake of hoping on the train, so we chose Beaufort. We googled some info about Beaufort and we were kinda prepared of what to expect of the town :) Upon reaching, we knew that we had made a correct choice! :)

Amongst all the feedback I got for my wedding posts, most of them inquire about my reception venue and my veil/headgear. Not few queried about the flowers I wore on my head. Let me entertain the latter at the moment. The flowers on my head; personally for me was one of the most accurate decision I have ever made, although it was a kamikaze. I had no pre-trial or what so ever rehearsal; the day of my reception was the1st time I donned it. I was glad beyond words that I did not give in to crown/tiara.

A friend of my elder sis who's getting married soon came over to our place to learn how I wear my veil. This is another story; this particular loose style shawl, I have it modified because the original one is kinda a bother to my movement, What I did was, I fasten one (either) side with a brooch so it becomes more comfortable and steadier. I hold on to this: The less maintenance the style needs, the more I like it. I HOPE THIS ANSWERS THOSE QUESTIONS IN MY COMMENT BOX AND FB MSGS :) Back to my sis' friend, she fell in love with the style and she opted for flowers too, instead of tiara for her wedding.

5 years of exploration

We are 5 years old today. Heyy, that's 50000 in relationship years! Today also marks the 2nd month of my our marriage. No one has ever told me marriage is a phase of exploration and discovery! ~~I have just discovered I am married to an OCD.~~ I learn about commitment, trust, punctuality, patience, taking orders accurately, hardworking, and two. Selfishness has to extinct and I have to start to embrace SHARING which never existed in my dictionary before. Marriage is when you love doing something you used to hate cuz you're doing it for your husband :) Guess mine? :P

I don't know other people but my marriage has changed a lot about my life. Suddenly I am detached from my parents. It used to be my stuffs within my perimeter. Suddenly I have a roommate. It used to be campus and gym. It's been a while I am not steering the wheel. That is just not it, prior to my wedding, I resigned from my work to follow my husband. And I did not expect I will embark on a new career soon, of different nature from my previous job ... And neither would I expect that ordinary activities, could be so much fun if it involves someone you love.

Am glad and thankful that he is what I expected, dreamed and wished for, I couldn't ask for more for the time being, thank you for being a great team mate along my transition as your wife, although not a Stepford's. I love you more each day.

We went food hunting on the 2nd day of Raya, it seems this year's Aidilfitr fails to get us possessed, hence this outing. Upon Ahmad's request, we tried Natural Kitchen Steamboat at Suria Sabah. We took Thai Tom Yam and Taiwan Spicy broth, useful tip for those who's interested to try: Don't take Taiwan Spicy, tak sedap..

Who would've expected to celebrate 1st day of eid at the hospital. Me neither. And no one would expect B's nephew prolonged fever is something else. After 7 days of on and off fever, he was admitted to the ward with Kawasaki disease. Poor Arif. Being the apple of the eye and the cream of the crop, everything else falls second, including Raya, There's no fun celebrating Eid knowing Arif is in the ward fighting his illness. We would drop anything for him. He was admitted on Raya eve, and everyone takes turns to look after him between rise and snooze. He's progressing well as he gets the best personal and medical attention. Can't wait for him to discharge and continue to paint rainbow in the household with his antics! Me too almost succumb to the evilness of fever with a slight indication of sore throat.. God Bless there's B muax!~

My experience with nachos in Kuching (Pondok Anis) and USS Singapore makes it more profound for me to begin the quest for Nachos in KK. Ika suggested Upperstar and Kakak suggested Fish & Co. Yesterday, we decided to give Upperstar a try but what a downer, they didn't serve Nachos. B being so thoughtful by getting me Chachos but it's the dip that do justice to my craving. hehe...

I am not being prejudice, but traveling with Air Asia is never a pleasant experience. We wll definitely be physically and mentally tired after we reached our destination. Quoted B: If you travel with Airasia, you have to clock in yourself to the best mood and be prepared for any ugly event before you and he is so correct. Everything that they impose, is never beneficial to the customer, (I wonder how they can bag the best airlines for three consecutive years, considering it is based on votes. hmmm).

Today, we were going back to KK, so we have two hand carry luggage which far exceeded the permitted allowance of 7kg. Our experiences had it, its according to your luck, sometimes, there is no personnel, sometimes they don't check it and sometimes, they even permit even you exceed the 7kg grant. But, obviously luck is not ours today, as expected, we were denied. We were ordered to have our excess baggage checked in. We refused, we transfer some of the things into our bag-pack instead. So, simple maths, each of our luggage weighed 14kg, that was twice the permitted weight after, we transferred some of the stuffs, the most our cute bag pack can accommodate is 3kgs, so our hand carry luggage were still excess. We tried our luck to walk pass the entrance and WE DID IT! They did not screen it for the 2nd time. I have the thought, you can bulk up your bag pack as heavy as you want because they did not check that, and they are not consistent in screening. We the hooligans, transferred back our stuffs into the luggage and had a good last laugh over Airsia.

Don't get me started with the RM10 imposed on counter check in. Pffft! I wish one day, money is never an issue for me, I could pass Airasia as my airlines.

Finally, the leisure time bubble pops! B was called for interview today, means he's gonna begin serving anytime soon. After more than a month honeymooning, I admit I enjoy this break-free life, but we have our mouth to feed.

For the past three years, it's been my annual routine to send B off and stayed overnight at KLIA. Recently, my flight to KK was at 6 am and we decided to crash in the airport the night before. It was a rerun of what we used to go through before but I had this feelings of epiphany that this time around, this man ain't going anywhere, he's coming home with me. :) That relief, can't be any relief. It's funny when we really care about someone, we can't never cheat feelings :)

Am currently in Kl right now, with hubby exactly. The story has it, he is allergic to cats (my sis has 12 cats!), so last night he was feline-challenged: sleep deprived, sneezing and wheezing all in one, we have no other option but to eliminate the cause, nope, we don't harm the cats, we move out to the nearest hotel instead. Poor him, let him rest while I'm at my sister's place, helping her with the iftar dishes. All the preparations were ready, lemme take advantage of this swift Unifi connection for my patronizing update yeah?

I think I have yet blog properly about my visit to USS - Universal Studio Singapore. I better put up an assisting post for those who are interested to visit that place next time.

We stayed in Tune Hotel Johor Bahru and from there, we purchased a return bus ticket at RM25 per person and it directly dropped us at USS. The bus counter (odyssey.com) is available at ground floor of Tune Hotel Danga Bay and it's up to you to choose your embark and return time.

For the USS ticket, we bought it online at asiatravel.com. They said, this option is smart because especially on weekends, it is difficult for you to buy ticket on the spot, they even have limited entry on weekends. The ticket is S$66 per person (to date it is = RM132) for one day pass which is 24 hours. Like for us, we choose embarking time at 730 am and return at 1030pm. Sebab tu sempat jalan2 singapore city at noon.

For more information on USS, you can go directly to their website for better information. As, from my own experience, USS is worth the price, it's fun and clean. If you think you can finish all in one day you are wrong. You will find yourself struggling to catch up with all the seven attractions namely Hollywood, New York, Madagascar, Far far Away, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt and The Lost World. Each of the attractions will have their own characters appearances at every hour. So, you will need time to catch up with them at every park at every hour. You will also be tempted by the souvenirs shop and restaurants. These shops and restaurants are according to the attractions' theme.

Not to forget, the games they have, and paying such amount, you want to play everything don't you? So, it's logic to spend an entire day at USS. For Muslims, worry not, for there is a prayer room provided near the entrance at 'Annual Pass' counter.

If you are a shopaholic, I think this place is reasonable for you to shop for souvenirs. You can find souvenirs as low as S$1.80. For those who are interested, you should come here for your pre-visit, especially for someone overseas-virgin like me. Kalau dah mampu nanti boleh la pergi yg oversea disneyland and Universal Studio!

My Brand New Ramadhan for Mak and Bapak in Kuching

Dear Mak Kuching & Bapak;

How's Ramadhan treating you or should I say, how are you treating your Ramadhan? I am doing great over here. Me and Abu cooked Nasik Ayam on the first day of Ramadhan, and his chicken was to die for :D It's the 4th day of Ramadhan already and alhamdulillah, I have never missed my terawikh yet. Here we have a lot of masjids and suraus nearby, so we try to go to different ones everyday. It is heartrending to see each of them was packed with jemaah. If in Kuching, we always settle for 8 rakaat, but here I am a proud 23 rakaateer. hhihihi

Yesterday, Abu and I went to bazaar ramadhan for the 1st time. We went to this place called Lok Kawi, it is similar to our Kem Penrissen in Kuching, so all the food are undoubtedly good. I was craving for soto since three days a go but that particular soto restaurant did not open. Luckily I bought Sup Daging, to compensate my craving, at least the closest to it, and it was really2 nice, reminds me of Bapak. Nyaman sekali juak! hehe

So far, we haven't gone eat out for bukak puasa yet. As for after terawikh, we resume our iftar before we go for our tadarus. We never failed to finish at least a juzuk per night and now we are heading to Juzuk 7. Alhamdulillah.

I hope both of you are doing well over there. Sorry for not being able to celebrate this holy month together.I miss you guys so very mucho!

With so many things in hand, I think I gotta pass this one. I managed to only come out with a backdrop. This idea of backdrop I once thought during my undergrads dinner but rejected, yet there was this stupid award that up until now I couldn't think what is the rationale behind that foolish award. God bless!

My sister then made some photo booth props which was from her own initiative. I am happy because my guests were very supportive and they had fully utilized the booth. Glad that I am surrounded by smart and fun people!!

Bridesmaid

I am the luckiest girl in the world when my BFF agreed to be my bridesmaid after I forcefully appointed her at single attempt. Actually, she was the 1st one from outstation who arrived in Kuching. No doubt she is the best candidate because she knows me well than I know myself. What's more special is this lady performed three songs at my wedding. Yup, she is a professional singer too! :) She performed 3 of our love songs: Cahaya Cinta, You're still the one, & Bertakhta di Hati... To Ika, I can never repay u back my dear! Thanks for everything!

To my surprise and others too, I was not involved thoroughly in my own dais design. I gave 100% liberation & trust to my wedding planner and mom to come up with the design and color. I only provide them with snippets of some dais that I like. Overall, they have done a satisfactory job and I love my dais. My akad dais was inspired by Farish Aziz's wedding and my reception was free style. Actually, for the reception, I kinda dislike the daisies, I think it could have looked better with only roses. My dais were both done by Petra Bridal.

Make Up

Initially, I wanted to go for MAC make up artist for my make up, but when they charged me RM800 for only one ocassion, I have to forget about it. After that, I considered to do it myself but mom and sis were not keen about that, they advised me to go for pro, as I was no Kate Middleton, after a make up trial and highly monitored by B, the end product turn up excellent, well at least for me. My MUA from Petra bridal had done a good job. I chose sweet for akad and heavier for reception. One thing I must say: 80% of the make up is mine. In other words, I only use her skills.

I did my bridesmaid make up :)

For KK reception, I played Kate Middleton, I did it all by myself, of course I learned some from my MUA, and I was fully satisfied with the result although not at par with pro :D
